J. Geils will not be down for breakfast.

J. Geils, veteran rocker from Worcester Mass passed away yesterday at 71 of natural causes.
I saw his show a couple of years ago at the Cross Center in Bangor, along with Bob Seger.
Poor old Bob barely was able to get out of the chair, while Geils performed like a thirty year old, jumping and dancing up a storm.
He will be missed.

Lots of memories of this with the volume turned all the way up back in the 1970s:

RIP J. Geils.

RIP J. Geils.

I heard short tributes on two different radio stations and they both chose 'Centerfold' to honor his memory. Centerfold? That would have been around 11th for me . . if at all. I thought, how could they have missed the live 'Whammer Jammer/Hard Driving Man'?

To my great distress, I know now that 'Live, Full House' doesn't appear in the band's Wiki DISCOGRAPHY until you scroll way down beneath the footnotes. When you click it's link, there is no sample for WJ/HDM.

Whammer Jammer . . let me hear you . . DIG IT!
