The Carabasset has gone from 70 CFS to over 10,000 CFS.

Austin Stream went from 7 CFS to 1,800 CFS.

The Swift River went from 11 CFS to 6,000 CFS.

The Androscoggin went from 1,000 CFS to 17,000 CFS and is nearly double it’s all time high for the date at Wentworth Location.

The St John at Nine Mile Bridge went from 480 CFS to 19,000 CFS. That’s nearly 6,000 CFS above the all time record and it’s still rising fast.

Maine’s Western Mountains had a deluge and it isn’t over yet.

Old Mother Nature is catching up!

You cannot change mother

You cannot change mother nature but you can mitigate its harmful effects. The Dutch did it and we could too but it would take a government interested in helping everyone and not just a few. The benefits would be slow in coming because we have waited too long to undertake them and those who would put them in place would not see any immediate benefits if any during their lifetime.

pmcon v2: Another profound kernel of wisdom from the sage of Brunswick.

Apparently, as with much wisdom, it grows more profound with age.

These reviews from the oracle of Brunswick, who has no clue what irony, sarcasm, and satire are.

I cover the subjects in my yet to be published book "The Subtle Arts of Conversation."

I made a mistake. I was wrong.
Something that you have never done and never will admit to.
See just like you I turned back on you.

Now just go back and cherish that warm feeling you get knowing you are loved by Smegma.

Bruce; I have admitted error

Bruce; I have admitted error on several occasions and on this thread, the last being one you yourself caught. Your continued use of the word smegma to characterize certain individuals is interesting in that it at first drove us all to the dictionary to see what it was. Now that nearly everyone on AMG knows what it means it has taken on the same connotation as other derogatory words of insult that are beneath the character of those of polite society. No matter that it is a real word with a specific meaning that has no relation to the character of any individual your use of it still puts you in the gutter.

My mother did not invent it but taught me that if you can't say something nice about someone, say nothing. I've tried to adhere to that teaching but fail when it comes to confronting ignorance and stupidity.

This corn gas has got many of us not storing gasoline and then you have blackouts with a quarter tank.

You have to wonder if all this stupidity, corn alcohol grown from petro fuels and added to fuel to support a faux industry. Wind turbines that cannot generate electricity without an initial grid supply. No one has a generator to pull gas out of storage tanks. Is this all planned stupidity or just stupidity.

I have to take my shoes off to board a plane yet can't get my tank filled up if the power goes off. Homeland security my ass

Search AMG for Jasper and then give him the lecture.
Any further you can research who created it and go from there.

It really is a case of ,if the shoe fits " and it does..

This is not a training issue.

Smegma has the requisite knowledge and skill to do what he does .
This an attitude issue.

Oh pmconusa I forgot, research Jasper and see his nasty comment to mainemom and see how it would be thought of by your mother.

My earlier comment: "Into

My earlier comment: "Into each life a little sunshine must fall." Posted in response to another of your singularly dour, dark, "the world is coming to an end and you're too stupid to realize it" type comments.

It was a play on words....a sardonic offering....based on the classic "into each life a little rain must fall." I was pointing out that your offerings are figuratively, almost exclusively, an all encompassing storm of dark clouds and thunderous rains with no hope for clearing weather ahead. "Your" virtually incapable of posting a comment that is simply conversational chit-chat. Blended with your normal tone of condescension, is it any wonder your comments don't gain any traction, or lead to second printings of your books? You don't want discussion, you want affirmation and homage for whatever you are serving up. Anything less (other than no response at all) results in dismissiveness of the crankiest sort.

While "your" incapable, as I've said before, of picking up on irony and related rhetorical gambits, at least you admit it in this post:

Mel: Your comment is oxymoronic in the if I were the sage you claim I am, I would certainly know the meaning of those words. If you were to write a book, and I doubt your capable of it, it would contain the same hyperbole you continue to spout here.

Hell; you don't even "know the meaning of those words!"

That's what dictionaries are for, Oh Sage.

By the way, do you know what the meaning of life is?

The only ones on this site

The only ones on this site that post what might be considered idle chit chat are Tom C and occasionally Roger Ek. Otherwise the site is full of someone else's comments and opinion they agree with or don't or barbs on the latest political or other "figures" in the current news. My comments and opinions are my own and the facts as I see them. You can agree, disagree or ignore them. If you disagree you should at least posit what you believe and not just hide behind the statement "your wrong".

As to my predictions of doom of the human race I cite only the reality that every species that has appeared on this plant has or will disappear, for one reason or another. It will happen when one of the elements or factors necessary to sustain life vanishes as it has on every other planet in the universe as we know it. We neglect consideration of the time horizon when looking at such a scenario but it is inevitable because the earths' resources are finite except for the reproducible factor, food. In my book I explain why I believe the dinosaurs disappeared and it is highly likely that is how many other now extinct species disappeared. Humans are on the verge of repeating this cycle because we keep producing consumers while at the same time we have begun reducing production. In short, the fight over need begins consuming the surplus needed to reproduce the crop and the ultimate decline is inevitable and rapid. The full description of this process, as I said, appears in my book.

I have rarely met anyone who has been to Las Vegas and fail to brag he came away a winner. You never hear about all the times they lose and lose they must if they keep playing because the odds favor the house. No one likes to read how they have been taken by the politicians who control the economy and that economy is ultimately doomed to failure as it has for every society that employs it. This too I describe in my writings and over the past year have excerpted it on this blog under the title Its the Law. You can go back and reread them if you like but I'm sure those who have aren't bragging about how they are being taken by the very people they elect to office.

In the real world we are plagued by those who refuse to employ what others reveal or discover under the guise of the "not invented here syndrome". Others suffer the same consequences when they ignore truths on the basis of "I didn't think of it first". No one can help them and I for one am loath to try.
