No explanation needed Matt, none at all.
I'd like to know what an alocade is.
Never trust auto correct ..accolades an award or privilege granted as a special honor... there fixed problem solved Oh drumroll and rim job.!
Gee; I wonder who was behind enactment of things like "tree growth exemptions."
And "Land for Maine's Future."
Somehow, it's OK when progressives are behind such movements to create new statutory bennies, but not OK when anyone other than progressives avails themselves of such caring and feeling programs.
Tree growth tax status is for land that is harvested commercially, stupid.
Ummmm....and the remark said otherwise mattzine?
Soon to be former Congressman Poliquin requested a recount today, ramping up his sore loser quotient to infinity and beyond.
He’s holding a news conference tomorrow, probably from the ladies room. I hope he gets heckled and cries like Ed Muskie.
All I want to know is how many Tums and bottles of Pepto you consume a day to stop the bile coming up your pipes from eating away your vocal cords.
Living rent free in your head is awesome.
So much open space.
Now that's what I call a rimshot, drumroll. Well done, TC, well done.
Perhaps you have a problem with knowing what majority means. Poliquin did NOT win the majority of votes in the First Round. Nor did he win the majority of the Second and Third Rounds either.
That is why he lost. Now he doesn't have to live on his woodlot in Georgetown in secret anymore.
Just want to make sure he gets his fair share of the votes, Fair Share.
Watch the filing deadline, dooby.
In searching election laws to date I see no prohibition on recounts.
Maybe to protect any future candidate (particularly the "anyone" ) types , TC
could start and fund a change effort in RCV law prohibiting anyone requesting a recount.
Disgraced former congressman Poliquin will lose the recount and lose his whiny case regarding the constitutionality of RCV.
Maybe Mr. Tree Growth can get a job overseeing the raking of our nation’s forests to prevent fires?
RCV is unconstitutional. It allows some voters multiple votes, others only one.
If you vote for a minor candidate, your vote counts a second time, and thus devalues the votes of those who voted for a major candidate. Your vote counts again, to overrule theirs. They don't get a 2nd choice - only you do. Contrast this with an actual runoff... where everyone gets to vote again.
This is Machiavellian scheming, nothing more. Having figured out that ultra-lefties were diluting the leftist vote by seeking far-left candidates, and this was resulting in losses to non-leftists, the choice was made to re-combine those votes to guarantee a leftist win anyway. Now leftists can protest vote to their heart's content, and still win.
Any system that involves counting anyone's vote more than once is cheating, plain and simple. It has been devised for precisely that purpose, and no other. It is the same kind of chicanery as California's "Jungle Primary" that results in one-party pseudo-elections.
Not content to wait for their "permanent majority", the left wants to cheat their way to absolute rule NOW.
If it’s sooooo unconstitutional, why did former ultra rich congressman Poliquin participate? Why didn’t he come out of the ladies room before losing the election to voice his concerns?
He was a weak candidate, and given Maine’s blue tsunami on Election Day, he really didn’t stand a chance. Buh bye, Brucie. Crawl back under your rock.
I believe his eyebrows are in tree growth, also.
And Jared's empty suit as well.
I ask this again.
"In all honesty was the opposition to this farce really up to the task ?"
The reality is, it was handed to the opposition , but it is all about BP's eye brows !
"RCV is unconstitutional. It allows some voters multiple votes, others only one."
I believe that is the reason that this farce will ultimately be rejected by SCOTUS.
I agree, Al. This is the major issue.
And you cannot sue for redress of grievance until AFTER you have suffered a grievance. The disaster had to develop before anyone could successfully sue for remedy. That is, unfortunately, how the legal system works.
Crybaby Poliquin is now asking for a new election.
If the federal judge is dumb enough to grant his wish, Poliquin will get his ass kicked a second time.
Odd, isn't it? Lawsuits by leftists demanding that all kinds of counting and recounting be done are fine. Only demands by non-leftists are improper. I wonder why...
By any normal understanding of "let's vote on that," he did not get his "ass kicked" a first time. And he beat a darling of Maine progressives twice in prior elections.
I'm just curious--are you still claiming to be a "libertarian"? Judging from your extreme "wealth envy" and your past statements about wanting to shut down other people's free speech, you sound more like a standard leftist to me.
"If it’s sooooo unconstitutional, why did former ultra rich congressman Poliquin participate? Why didn’t he come out of the ladies room before losing the election to voice his concerns?

Did BP run over your puppy, or frighten your mother when she was pregnant with you, or something?
If Poliquin was to win in a recount or court of law....would he then be charged with conspiracy to commit murder when liberals across the state suddenly suffer from exploding head syndrome?
Tweeeeet! Time out!
Poop flingers at parade rest, please.
"I believe his eyebrows are in tree growth, also."
That was some funny, right there - credit where credit is due, fellas. Bruce could stall an industrial beard trimmer. Poop flinging may resume in three, two, one...
Today, a federal judge threw out crybaby Poliquin’s suit claiming RCV is unconstitutional, and also denied his request for a new election.
Hope he moves to Florida with your windbag soon-to-be former governor. Good riddance!
An Obama appointed judge, no doubt. Oh wait.......
