T Carter...what specifically

T Carter...what specifically is or are your reasons for hating Trump? I don't want to hear squat about what he did as a private citizen or how un-suave he is or his tweets. I want to know from you or any Liberal specifically what he has done or what action he has taken as President that is not in the best interest of our country.

His racist dog-whistles pose

His racist dog-whistles pose more danger to American security than any foreign bogie-man he conjures up.

My take:

My take:
I think the lies about "pre-existing conditions" - the Dems' national strategy - paid off in Maine.

Maine law - even without the ACA - guarantees health insurance for applicants with pre-existing conditions, and has done so since the 1990s. Even Maine PL 90 (obliterated by the ACA) guaranteed coverage for pre-existing conditions, with a funding mechanism to cover the otherwise uninsurable.
After seeing way too many of those pro-Golden and anti-Poliquin commercials, I can't tell whether Golden even understands the issue.

His knowledge or lack thereof won't matter now that he's off to Washington, since he will never have the chance to vote against the Dem party line.
Not exactly a libertarian's dream.
To his credit, Golden promises not to take part in the dialing for dollars that is a major part of a representative's work. We'll see. The big donors who got him elected will expect something in return.

But he seems like a nice boy from a nice family. Maybe that's enough.

As is typical with all

As is typical with all Democrats, Golden will be given his opinion by the party hacks as necessary. He will not be allowed to have an original thought even if it might be a good one.

The allowance for his

The allowance for his obedience will be $200 million or so to bring Amtrak to Lewiston.

As is typical with all Republicans, Poliquin was given his opinion by the party hacks as necessary. He was not allowed to have an original thought even if it might be a good one.

Rebecca, There is no difference between the parties (or the people that get elected) when it comes to marching to orders from the leadership.

The options are unlimited, as the line from Brunswick to Boston has shown.

Alexandria Cortez says that

Alexandria Cortez says that she believes that all amtrack trains could be self powering by simply mounting wind generators on the top,and giving them a push to start the perpetual motion machines in action. Wonders why the auto companies don’t do that with cars.Golden will co sponsor her bill for funding research into perpetual motion technologies.

Lefties complained that

Lefties complained that LePage didn't get a majority. Then their guy not only doesn't get a majority, he wasn't even the top vote getter.

I laugh at lefties!

It was never about fairness,

It was never about fairness, but the left defines "fairness" as winning. So it's fair even when they divide the leftist vote... and win anyway.

Ranked Choice pulls the pieces back together so the left wins. This allows the progressive wing to grow and field candidates without actually losing power.

It has always been about power.

Toolsmith, you seem to be bummed out. I’d suggest taking Tom C’s approach and just “laugh at lefties”. Being run over won’t hurt so bad...

I offer this question from

I offer this question from the other thread ,Rank,No choice.
"In all honesty was the opposition to this farce really up to the task ?"

Be Honest.

I remember the saying about the Marines. "we were taught to charge the enemy when fired upon", in the Army we were taught to return fire !

RCV has given us the ammunition to fire back with ,will we use it wisely ?

"I’d vote for anyone who

"I’d vote for anyone who opposes Trump.

Anyone."

I confess that I don't understand the willingness to drop an anvil on your private parts (metaphorically speaking--I think) in order to "oppose Trump". The guy you voted for is not exactly a libertarian's dream, and is pretty clueless to boot.

Loser Bruce Poliquin has

Loser Bruce Poliquin has until Monday to request a recount in his “unconstitutional” election that we all participated in. Due to the margin of his defeat, he would be 100% on the hook for the costs associated with said recount.

The expense would hardly put a dent in his multimillion dollar fortune, and his lawsuit challenging the election will provide a good chuckle or two in December.

Maybe he can get a job at Mar-a-Lago? Oh yeah, he’s not here on a foreign worker visa.

Poor Jared Golden is going to need a hazmat team to fumigate Poliquin’s office.

Gee I hope Golden doesn’t

Gee I hope Golden doesn’t suffer a repetitive motion injury and brain damage from bumping his head under pelosi’s desk. A big percent of Maine now has no representation whatsoever in congress.

I’m just relieved Poliquin will have more time to teach LePage how to put his new yard in Boothbay into tree growth.

I think LePlague and his bubble head wife sold their Boothbay estate.

They’re moving to Florida to be with the rest of America’s wtf crowd.

You folks on the Reich still have Susan Collins. She’d eat the corn from the Tangerine Tyrant’s bunghole if asked.

Only a problem if leftists don't get the same percentage of representation as they got of the vote. If it happens to another group, it's just the will of the people, the permanent majority, just fine.

I won't even comment on the obscene twins...

Yeah, hope he wins, but given the present climate against silly concepts like "one person one vote" I'm not holding my breath.

"The expense would hardly put a dent in his multimillion dollar fortune, and his lawsuit challenging the election will provide a good chuckle or two in December."

Envy much? We start to see Mr. Carter's real motivations, I think...

"Maybe he can get a job at Mar-a-Lago? Oh yeah, he’s not here on a foreign worker visa."

Apparently someone doesn't like foreigners...

"Poor Jared Golden is going to need a hazmat team to fumigate Poliquin’s office."

Why? Golden is a Democrat--he's going to be servicing the like of Pelosi and Waters. After his first day on the job, he'll make a sewer look pristine.
