Daily Caller: Shortage Of Foreign Labor Forces Maine Businesses To Hire Local Workers

Businesses in Bar Harbor, Maine are turning to locals to make up for a shortage of foreign guest workers that normally fill summer jobs in the bustling seaside resort town.

Shortage Of Foreign Labor Forces Maine Businesses To Hire Local Workers

The fact that Dems are against this is proof of their corruption and hate and contempt for the working class.

Keep losing, dems!

Hey Tom C, are you a knee-jerk liar, an ignoramus, or a combination of the two?

The same locals who wouldn't

The same locals who wouldn't work for $7.50 now won't work fo $9 and won't work for $12 in the future...And some how believe they should be paid as if theyhad some how earned the compensation of brain surgeons ,maybe through osmosis ?Many of the 20 - 30 year olds are uneducated , unmotivated and unreliable....Most have no skill set other than expecting someone to pay them for showing up....and most can't do that on a regular basis. Liberal, policies have created a permenant dependency underclass of victims, losers and just the plain lazy........I think we should deport them and bring those who want to make the upward climb......

I agree with John... they

I agree with John... they like Socialism so much, send them to Venezuela. We'll take anyone who wants to earn their living.

I'm waiting for $15/hr to wipe out all the entry level service jobs. I don't think I'll have to wait long...

.I think we should deport

.I think we should deport them and bring those who want to make the upward climb......

Maybe we should just stop paying them for doing nothing, now that is a mind swell.

Always love the rants how lazy our local citizenry are as if it is a right to be a lazy f and get paid by the guvmint. No American has to be deported, just not paid from the government largress. Some how that fact has been lost on Americana.

yes the illegals want to work, well some do and some don't, and many would just join the non-working Natives.

Do you wonder who is responsible for all this pay cradle to grave look no further than Collins and King. They also vote to allow all the HB 1 workers in stealing the jobs of American educated youth.

Yeah we really can't deport

Yeah we really can't deport them, other countries won't accept our rejects, for example you can't get into Canada if you have an OUI......but that's another story. My point is there is an ever growing swath of people in this country who don't believe that they should have to work hard to achieve succes.....That a great standard of living should be free or nearly so. That the idea of working hard to create upward mobility is for the suckers. There is a big shortage of qualified workers in Maine. You should see the appplicarions of this growing swath of the "unemployed/ underemployed"the criminal records for drug offenses, domestic violence , theft .......its really pretty frightening if you are an employer.Over than last 30 years I've watched it grow from a small problem to a crisis......Roger is right we should stop paying them........but them they would probably have just enough gumption to become roving mobs just taking what they want.....

"The Trump family's Mar-a

"The Trump family's Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida, has submitted requests with the Department of Labor to hire 70 foreign workers.

The club recently asked for permission to hire 15 housekeepers, 20 cooks and 35 waiters on H-2B visas, according to DOL filings made public Thursday during the White House's "Made in America"-themed week. The visas are granted when there are supposedly not enough American workers willing to do the jobs. The foreign employees would work October through May, during the club's regular season. Earlier this week, President Trump expanded the national cap on H-2B visas by 15,000 people. "

Do as I say, not as I do?
